Flow rate: The flow rate of the sewage pump should be selected according to the drainage second flow rate (measurement unit: L / s); when there is a displacement adjustment, the flow rate can be selected according to the discharge amount (measurement unit: m3 / h).

If the medium to be transported is a mixed liquid that contains a certain solid medium (such as sediment), this problem makes the sewage pump’s requirements on the motor’s load-bearing capacity, bearing arrangement, pump body seal, etc. higher than those of ordinary water pumps. Generally speaking, choose self-priming sewage pump or submersible sewage pump. When selecting and ordering, you must know whether the sealing and load-bearing capacity of the sewage pump you choose is appropriate.
The sewage pumps used in buildings include submersible sewage pumps, submersible drainage pumps, vertical sewage pumps and horizontal sewage pumps. While vertical sewage pumps and horizontal sewage pumps require a seismic isolation foundation and take up a certain amount of space on the site, they are rarely used in buildings.
In buildings where the site is small and the displacement is not large, submersible sewage pumps and submersible sewage pumps are preferred. Among them, the submersible sewage pump can generally be used in more important places. Its overall structure is compact, small in size, low in noise, easy to move, and simple to install; it has significant energy saving effect, convenient maintenance, no need to build a pump room, and it can be submerged in water, greatly reducing project costs.
In the public building facilities, a spare water pump should be set according to each drainage sump as a unit. Usually, electric fire pumps should be interoperated with each other to reduce the long-term operation of the pump and increase the service life.
When pumping sewage with a larger medium, the outlet pipes of the submersible sewage pumps in different water collection tanks should not be discharged together [when the submersible sewage pump is lifted to contain large debris], the submersible sewage pump should be equipped with a crushing device. When lifting sewage containing more fibers, submersible sewage pumps with cutting devices or large channels can be used.
When pumping general wastewater, the outlet pipes of the submersible sewage pumps of different collection tanks can be considered and discharged according to the actual situation.
When two or more pumps share one outlet pipe, valves and check valves should be installed on the outlet pipes of each pump. When the single pump drainage may cause backfilling, a check valve should be installed. Pressure drains and gravity drains in the construction are not allowed to discharge together.
Vertical fire pumps and horizontal fire pumps, as the name implies, have obvious differences in appearance and structure. The vertical fire pump is installed or working vertically, and the horizontal fire pump is installed or working horizontally.
In terms of installation form, vertical fire pumps are integrally connected and are easier to install; horizontal fire pumps require precision adjustment after installation.
In terms of floor space, vertical fire pumps take up less space than horizontal fire pumps. Under normal circumstances, vertical fire pumps do not need to lay foundations. Horizontal fire pumps are equipped with bases and need to be laid.
From the maintenance point of view, the upper part of the vertical fire pump maintenance impeller needs to be removed to complete the maintenance, which is difficult to maintain; the horizontal fire pump is relatively simple, as long as the inlet pipe is removed, the impeller maintenance can be performed.
