Common Trouble Causes and Solutions of Submersible Well Pump
Failure 1
No water out, waterless or intermittently water out.
Causes: ① Motor reversal; ② The motor did not start; ③ The dynamic water level is lower than the suction port; ④ Serious leakage of pipelines or connecting parts; ⑤ The pump seal ring or impeller serious grinding damage; ⑥ The motor and pump shaft sleeve are moving.
Solutions: ① Change the contact position; ②Eliminate the line trouble, check the voltage; ③ Increase the riser or replace the pump; ④ Remove the pump maintenance, eliminate the trouble; ⑤ Replace the sealing ring or impeller; ⑥ Fix the coupling shaft sleeve.
Failure 2
The flow rate is reduced.
Causes: ① Sealing ring is worn; ② The filter screen is blocked; ③ Water leaks between the pipes or shells.
Solutions: ① Remove the pump and replace the sealing ring; ② Remove the pump to repair the filter net; ③ Remove the pump maintenance, eliminate the trouble.

Failure 3
The unit vibrates violently.
Causes: ① Pump shaft is bent; ② The pump and motor bearing wear is too large.
Solutions: ① Remove the pump calibration shaft or replace it; ② Remove the pump or motor and repair the bearing.
Failure 4
The ammeter pointer swings greatly.
Causes: ① The moving water level drops to the pump suction port; ② The flow is too large, resulting in water pump rotor string.
Solutions: ① Increase the riser or replace the water pump; ② Turn down the valve to reduce the water output.
Failure 5
The insulation resistance drops below 05mΩ.
Causes: ① The quality of cable joints is bad; ② Motor insulation is damaged; ③ Cable is damaged.
Solutions: ① Reconnect the cable connector; ② Repair the motor winding; ③ Repair or replace the cable.
Failure 6
The motor does not turn when the pump starts and there is a buzzing sound.
Causes: ① Single-phase operation of the motor; ② Bearing bite embrace shaft.
Solutions: ① Check the power cable to find out the broken phase; ② Repair or replace the bearing.
