6 major faults and troubleshooting of the sludge pump

Sludge pump is a kind of pump that is commonly used in sewage treatment and construction projects. Users can understand and learn the application knowledge of the sludge pump, which can greatly improve the service life and maintenance cost of the mud pump.
1. The sludge pump is slow to pump water.
Reason: The gap between the front lining plate and the impeller is large, the water outlet pipe can not seal the air;
The elimination method: adjusting the gap, adjusting the water outlet pipe, and installing the vacuuming device.

2. The slurry water pump vibration
Reason: The pump shaft and diesel engine (or motor) are not concentric, the impeller is unbalanced, and the bearing is damaged.
The elimination method: adjust the concentricity, do the impeller balance test, replace the bearing.
3. The sludge pump wears fast
Reason: The construction environment (large particles) is poor, the transportation distance is long, and the water inlet pipeline is long;
The elimination method: replace the sand field, add the afterburner unit, shorten the length of the inlet pipe to reduce cavitation.

4. The water pressure of the slush pump is small, flow is small
Reason: There is air in the pump, the gap between the impeller and the front lining plate is large, the clutch is not tightly closed, and the impeller or the lining plate is worn.
The elimination method: emptying the gas in the pump, adjusting the gap of the clutch friction plate, and replacing the impeller or the lining plate.
5. The sludge pump impeller and bearing wear fast
Reason: The high-pressure pump has a low head, misaligned packing, and the pump shaft and the back cover are different.
The elimination method: replace the high-pressure pump higher than the head of the sludge pump, replace the packing, and adjust the concentricity.
6. The sludge pump does not pump water
Reason: insufficient water infusion, the air in the pump can not be discharged, air leakage from the suction pipe, and large gap between the front liner and the impeller;
The elimination method: continue to inject water, check whether the pipeline leaks and adjust the gap between the impeller and the front liner.
