Preparations must be made before the diesel engine fire pump starts
Because the diesel engine fire pump set is not limited by the power supply, it can be better to provide safety for fire emergency. The diesel engine fire pump set has the characteristics of good start, strong overload capability, compact and reasonable structure, convenient maintenance and simple and reliable use. The pump set has protection functions such as overspeed, low oil pressure, three failures in starting, high water temperature, low oil level and low battery voltage. At the same time, it can connect with the customer’s fire alarm automatic alarm device or fire control system controller to realize remote monitoring function.
The diesel engine fire pump is much more complicated in structure than the electric water pump, so the preparation work before starting is also more complicated.
First, we should check if the display of the voltmeter on the controller is 24V. If it is lower than 24V, we should promptly find out the cause and eliminate the fault.
Second, check whether the various parts of the diesel engine are normal, whether the various accessories are reliably connected, and eliminate the abnormal phenomenon.
Third, check whether the oil in the oil pan, the fuel injection pump and the governor reaches the specified oil level. If the oil is found to be insufficient, the same type of oil should be added.
Fourth, check if there is enough water in the water tank. If an open circulation cooling system is used, the water source should be turned on.
Fifth, use the hand pump on the fuel pump to inject fuel into the fuel system, and at the same time loosen the bleed screw on the fuel pump to remove the air from the fuel system. When there is no more air to discharge here, tighten the screw. Then continue pumping the oil until the return line has oil return, then tighten the hand pump.
Sixth, sequentially loosen the high-pressure oil pipe joint nut on each cylinder injector, place the governor handle in the diesel engine running position, turn the diesel engine, and discharge the air in each high-pressure fuel pipe (this step can be ignored in general, should not be ignored when the start fails.)
Seventh, for the new machine or unused diesel engine parked for more than 5 days, turn the crankshaft 3 to 5 revolutions before starting.
Eighth, there is a preheating start device, and when preheating start is required (temperature below 5 °C), it should also check whether the glow plug is normal (the preheating plug with rated voltage of 24V under normal conditions, the resistance is about 0.025Ω, 12V is Smaller).
If the impeller of the diesel engine fire pump has a balance hole, the cavity with the soft filler is connected to the impeller inlet. If the liquid at the inlet of the impeller is in a vacuum state, it is easy to enter the air along the surface of the sleeve, so it is installed in the filling chamber. The packing ring, through the small hole in the pump cover, enters into the pressurized water in the pump chamber to the packing ring to seal. If there is no balance hole in the impeller of the diesel engine fire pump, since the liquid pressure on the back of the impeller is greater than the atmospheric pressure, there is no gas leakage problem, so the packing ring is not installed.
